Prosper | 2015 | Team project
Entertainment game | multiplayer | Turnbased strategy card game
This is the first card game that I ever worked on. Together with the rest of Arcadium Games we created the cardgame called Prosper.
My job here was that of a leaddesigner. During this project I focused on enchancing the basics of the game especially balance wise. After I made the manual for the game the task of playtesting and balancing the game was placed on me. Through this project of 9 weeks I held multiple playtesting sessions with multiple groups of people, some were also from the GDD course and others complete strangers. The first playsessions showed me that the game took 2 hours longer then what we had expected, while also showing me that the game became to confusing to follow with all the cards on the board. Our solution was to slim down the less useful buildings and implement their uses in other buildings for now. Following the strategy of playtestings, receiving feedback and implementing this feedback into our card game gave me quite some experience in how playtesting and game testing works.
